To those in need of plumbing services in the Berkeley/East Bay area: We would like to offer a few words on behalf of the folks at Albert Nahman Plumbing & Heating, Our comments are based upon an extended interaction with the company during the summer of 2007 during which, together with Albert Nahman management, we developed a plan for extensive remedial work on both the exterior and interior components at our residence in Berkeley. We had a challenging
project, one that was going to be complicated and time consuming no matter what. There were many options to consider
and a limited budget. We needed a lot of guidance on the pros and cons of the various approached before any work could
begin. Despite the fact that they were not sure they would even get the job, the senior people at Albert Nahman (including
Albert himself) spent considerable time advising us, explaining everything, making recommendations and attaching costs and
expenses to each option. This up-front interaction was invaluable.
When the work began, it flowed flawlessly. There were not interruptions in the schedule, the workers showed up on time and worked hard every day and the project was completed on time and according to the estimates. We repeat: The project cost exactly what the estimates said it would cost--most unusual in our experience. When we had questions during the work, answers were supplied promptly and professionally and in a manner we could understand. There was never a time when we were left in the dark, confused about what was being done or felt we were being treated unfairly. There is little doubt that this company cares about its customers and truly wants to please them and meet their needs. This conclusion is not based on some vague impression; it became obvious to us not only from our overall experience with Albert Nahman Plumbing but also from day-to-day communication during the project, Clear and direct communication with customers must be an important part of the training and approach which Albert himself insists upon. One final comment-something which was very important to us: It was fun having the guys who did the work around our home. Although, they were obviously highly skilled, they were also pleasant people, polite, considerate and with senses of humor. It seems that so often these days one cannot wait to have service people gone. However, this was not the feeling we were left with as a result of our interaction with Albert Nahman Plumbing.
