Tankless Water Heaters
Here is what you can expect from
Albert Nahman Plumbing and Heating when we install a tankless water heater for you. When comparing estimates,
please be sure to compare apples to apples. Our
fixed cost estimate will typically include the following: - A new tankless water heater from Takagi,
Noritz, Rinnai or Bosch which will be sized and located in accordance with your needs, best practices and the requirements
specified by the manufacturer’s installation manual. This will insure that the unit is covered
under warranty and will perform as specified with maximum longevity.
- Plumbing and electrical permits for the
work. This includes an inspection to assure you that we have met the requirements of the California
Plumbing and Electrical Code as well as that of the governing local inspecting agencies.
- A professional 1-day
installation. You can be certain that you will not be left without hot water overnight.
- A new dedicated gas
line which will be sized for the demand of the unit and tested for leaks in accordance with the Code.
- The gas supply to the heater is normally
“hard piped” for maximum unit stability and includes a readily accessible ball valve shut-off.
- A hot and cold water
shutoff and drain valve kit is installed for ease of servicing.
- We will provide and install at least 5’ of
copper piping on the cold and hot water side of the heater as well as install closed cell foam pipe insulation to
minimize heat loss in the piping. In many cases we will install more copper piping, please reference
the proposal for details.
- Flue terminations will be sealed and flush mounted to the building exterior for maximum weatherization
and aesthetic appeal.
- We will provide a switch (not a pig-tail) to satisfy the electrical disconnect requirement of the
job. The switch will have an additional fuse which will ensure maximum protection of the
electronic circuitry of the tankless heater.
- Provide a new circuit in the electrical panel with appropriate label and breaker,
where required.
- The hot, cold and gas pipe are “bonded” as required by Code
- We will flush the
piping and test for the proper operation and temperature of the tankless heater.
- Remove old water heater and recycle it.
- Eliminate or cap
old flues or gas and water piping and patch walls as necessary. See proposal for details.
- Clean work area of
all debris. We will leave it cleaner than when we started….guaranteed!
- We will record and
retain the model and serial number of your new tankless unit in our computer database. We
will assist you in registering your new appliance as well as direct you to the proper forms so that you can apply
for applicable tax credits.
- 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
- 5 Year Warranty on Labor.
- Free 1-year check-up from the date of installation.
- Should your tankless heater need servicing
or repair in the future, Albert Nahman Plumbing and Heating is certified for every major tankless brand and model.
